The Faberge Shawl

Learn all the techniques used in the Fabergé shawl (horizontal braid, beading, slipped stitch overlay, textured eyelets). By knitting a swatch in class, you will practice all the techniques needed to create your own stunning Faberge Shawl.

Level of Experience: You should be familiar with these skills:
Long-tail cast-on
Decreasing (ssk and k2tog)
Make 1 increase
Yarn over

Homework: None

Materials:
About 25 yards each of two colors of fingering weight yarn
A dozen size 6/0 beads
US 5 and 6 needles – circulars or straights (loose knitters may want to use 4 and 5s). Avoid slick needles as they make a fiddly technique more difficult.
Scissors

Materials fee: None

Cost:  $30 for members ($55 for non-members which includes 2018 Guild membership)
