Ellen Hesterman Style:  A Fashion show honoring Ellen’s legacy

Join us for a summer get together filled with knitting, style and dessert. We are celebrating the legacy of Guild member Ellen Hesterman who passed away a year ago on August 5, 2015 with a fashion show.

The fashion show theme, in tribute to Ellen Hesterman, is a celebration of Ellen’s vibrant knitting style. Ellen was an enthusiastic knitter whose knitting focused on shawls, vivid color, and textured yarns combined in amazing ways. Even if you didn’t know Ellen, you probably have a shawl, a colorful project, or a fabulous stash buster you would like to show off. If you’ve been reluctant to strut your stuff in the Show and Share at a regular meeting, the August meeting will be a fun and easy way to get started sharing your knitting with the Guild.

This is not a potluck!  Morgan Run is doing all the work. They’ll provide us with cold drinks and delicious desserts. This meeting is free and snacks are included. We do need a head count so Morgan Run knows how many delectable desserts to prepare.  Sign up at the July meeting or send Program Chair Tina Rounsavell an email at Programs@SanDiegoKnitters.com and let her know you are going to be there.   If you would like to participate in the fashion show, please sign up for that, too.
