Assia Brill – Workshop 2

Thursday, May 4, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Assia Brill Workshop: High Relief Cables

This is a new way of working cables. It refines cables and solves several problems.
High-Relief cables (HRC) present a new way of working any type of cables to make them perfect. HRC differ from conventional cables, and these are their main advantages:

  • Three-dimensional
  • Keeping their shape even after washing and blocking
  • Much smoother and neater
  • Avoiding elongated last stitches
  • Warm: excellent for hats, gloves
  • Highly visible, even when worked with a variegated yarn
  • Reversible: ideal for scarves, snoods, shawls, hats, blankets, shawl collars.

In the theoretical part, the secret behind the HRC will be explained.
In the practical part, you will learn how to work new cables, and how to convert any conventional cable to HRC.

A handout will be provided.
