Class Description: In this workshop you will learn a new type of Single Increases called Twincrease. It is completely symmetrical. As far as I know, all existing single increases (to make two stitches out of one stitch) are asymmetrical, and so I believe it is an important addition to the increase/decrease family.
First we will discuss it theoretically: existing single increases will be reviewed and the structure of the new Twincrease will be explained. Then we’ll start playing with it! You will learn how to work Twincrease, both knit and purl, as well as its modifications—Twin-over and T-increase. We will talk about when and why we can use these new types of increases.
A handout will be provided.

Technical Requirements: Knit/purl stitch, cast-on, chain crochet
For the sample, cast on 11 sts.
Rows 1-3: knit all sts;
Row 4 (WS): k1, p9, k1;
Row 5 (RS): knit all sts
Materials and Supplies Needed for Class:
Any yarn, DK or worsted weight, preferably in light colors, needles to match the yarn
Cost: $30 for members ($65 for non-members which includes 2023 Guild Membership)

1) Register in person at the back of the meeting room at the April 4th meeting, payment is due at the time of registration. Payment is by check made payable to San Diego North Coast Knitters Guild (payee name must be written out in full – our bank will not accept checks with abbreviations.) Checks should be mailed to Willa Cather (address in your Guild Directory.) Your registration is guaranteed upon confirmation of receipt of your payment.
Cancellation policy: Please notify us as early as possible if you need to cancel your workshop registration. Refund of the workshop fee requires a cancellation notification at least 48 hours in advance of the workshop. Fees cannot be refunded for cancellations with less than 48 hours advance notice.
