All About Sleeves – Sleeve Fit for Every Body

If the shoulders fit, the sleeves don’t. If the sleeves fit, the bust doesn’t. These are common fit issues in our sweaters. Let’s fix them!

At the end of this class, you will have learned:
•  An overview of sleeves and armholes
•  How sleeves should fit
•  How to measure for armhole depth and sleeve fit
•  Easy fixes for quick sleeve fit
•  More detailed fixes to get the sleeves just right

Format: Lecture and hands-on learning

Length of class: 2 hours

Level of experience: Intermediate knitting skills suggested.

Homework: None

Materials and supplies needed for class:

•  Pencil, pens
•  Handout (this will be provided via email prior to the class)
•  Calculator (optional)
•  Measuring tape
•  Ruler (minimum 18 inches)
•  Masking or painter’s tape

Class Size: 25 maximum

Cost:  $30 for members (paid 2025 Guild membership required at time of registration)

Reminder: Checks must be made payable to San Diego North Coast Knitters Guild (payee name must be written out in full.) Please write name and date of the workshop on your check.

Cancellation policy: Please notify us as early as possible if you need to cancel your workshop registration. Refund of the workshop fee requires a cancellation notification at least 48 hours in advance of the workshop. Fees cannot be refunded for cancellations with less than 48 hours advance notice.
