Romi Hill – Workshop 1: 1, 2, Pick Up Stitches

Tuesday, March 3 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am
0326 Hill Romi12pickup

1, 2, Pick Up Stitches

Are you unsure what exactly to do when a pattern says “Pick up and knit stitches?” How to make it all look even? Where to pick them up?

No worries, my knitting friend! Romi’s got your back. Join her as we set up our knitting to make picking up stitches easier to do, and then pick up and knit in all those pesky little places: on the diagonal, perpendicular to your existing knitting (think button band), and along the cast-on edge to knit in the opposite direction!

Format: Lecture and hands-on learning

Length of class: 2.5 hours

Level of experience: Beginner. Students should know how to knit and purl, and have the desire to learn!

Supplies for Class:

• Worsted weight yarn (Tip: Bring light-colored yarn that doesn’t split)
• US Size 5 and US 7 knitting needles

Homework: Provided after registration

Class Size: 25 maximum

Class Fee: $35 for members (paid 2026 Guild membership required at time of registration)

How to Register:
