Dawn Barker – Workshop 3

Thursday, March 6 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Assigned Pooling + Slipped Stitch Colorwork

Are you ready to take your assigned pooling skills to the next level? In this class we will learn the basics of combining assigned pooling with rhythmic slipped stitch colorwork knitting by previewing and practicing Dawn Barker’s Nona’s Walz pattern (included in the class notes).

Learn how to combine these two stitch styles for an all-new effect. This is an advanced Assigned Pooling class, so some experience with slipped stitch knitting and Assigned Pooling is preferred.

Format: Lecture and hands-on learning

Length of class: 3 hours

Level of experience: Intermediate knitting skills suggested; slipped stitch colorwork experience is helpful but not required

Homework: None

Materials and supplies needed for class:

* 1 skein of assigned pooling yarn
* 1 skein of a contrasting tonal companion
* US size 7 circular needles on a 24″ cable

Cost:  $30 for members (paid 2025 Guild membership required at time of registration)
