Assigned Pooling: Garments
This innovative technique can be applied to any shape, including garments, with intriguing and often unpredictable results. Be prepared to be surprised and embrace the natural patterns the yarn presents.
Format: Lecture and hands-on learning
Length of class: 3 hours
Level of experience: Sweater knitting experience
Homework: None
Materials and supplies needed for class:
While not required, students may choose to bring one of Dawn Barker’s sweater patterns and appropriate yarn to cast on in class. Sweater kits must be purchased in advance on Dawn Barker’s website as yarn is dyed as a set.
Alternatively, students may bring assigned pooling yarn and US size 3-5 needles to practice stitches in class before they decide on a sweater pattern.
