December 2022 Philanthropy

As I finish up my term as Philanthropy chair, I want to thank everyone for all the wonderful items you have donated during my two-year tenure. This year alone, over 200 knitted and crocheted items have been delivered to various organizations including Rady Children’s Foundation, Veterans Administration Medical Center La Jolla, Operation Gratitude, and Military Showers of Support.
I will be accepting knitted items for donation at the Holiday luncheon on December 5, near the entry when you sign in. There is still time to add to our impressive totals before the year end wrap up on December 15. If any subgroup leaders or individuals have not already let me know what they have donated on their own to other organizations, please email me that information by December 15 as well to PhilanthropyATSanDiegoKnittersDOTcom
Thank you all so very much for all you have done in. the time I have worked with Philanthropy, a significant mission of the Guild. Colleen Lukoff will be taking over as Philanthropy Coordinator in January, 2023. She is in the directory, or can be reached at PhilanthropyATSanDiegoKnittersDOTcom, after the first of the year. I’ll be introducing Colleen at our December 20th drop-off/pick-up event.
A drop-off and pick-up event has been arranged for December 20th, 11 am to 12 noon at the Temple Solel parking lot in Encinitas. Details can be found here.
