Minutes of the General Meeting

At 12:34 PM Co-President Renate Kamm called the meeting to order. She gave updates on Philanthropy, Holiday Luncheon Drop Offs, and upcoming workshops.
Program Co-Chair Willa Cather introduced our guest speaker Molly Conroy-Ungerecht who presented a Cocoknits Method and Trunk Show. Besides being an enthusiastic and entertaining speaker, Molly is an expert on all things Cocoknit from design to mastery of the Cocoknits techniques. Molly also gave some hints on how to choose plant-based fibers, matching characteristics of fibers (soft, slick, sticky, or gnarly) with their tendencies (to pill, to grow, to be stable, to be difficult).
After Molly’s presentation, Willa previewed our speakers for the rest of 2024: Miss Babs, Nancy Bates, and Cecilia Compechiaro.
Program Committee Member Denise Caballaro shared the results of her excellent survey on members preferences in guild related activities.
Sydnie Wauson emceed our Show and Share.
Renate Kamm adjourned the meeting at 1:40 PM.
