2024 San Diego County Fair Update.
This year the Guild spent two full Saturdays at the Fair demonstrating and teaching our craft. Take a look at the patient and very interested children at work.
Guild Volunteers: Many thanks to Renate Kamm, Tania Marshall, Theresa Kotanchek, Donna Mulcahy, Karen des Jardins, Virginia Wilson, Kathy Rich, Maria Gualda, and Rilla Livingston.
Guild award winners: A $50.00 prize and a free membership were awarded to Samantha York for her shawl for “artistic appeal, color balance and harmony.” A $50.00 prize and a free membership were awarded to Ruth Patterson for her afghan for “quality of workmanship and techniques used.” And a $50.00 prize went to the youth entry from Ivanna Baitaliuc for her felted mushroom for “best effort”.
