In Case You Missed It – Suzanne Nielsen presented to the April 7 Guild Meeting
The May 7 Guild meeting featured Suzanne Nielsen presenting “Tips and Tricks from an Engineer.” Suzanne is a knitwear designer and the social media manager for ChiaoGoo needles.
Trained as a biomedical engineer, Suzanne loves to solve puzzles. As a long-time knitter, she’s solved a lot of the knitting puzzles we all struggle with and shared her results in a presentation to the Guild. Her talk included tips on the best ways to handle short rows, cables, increases and decreases, stripes, and binding off. She also discussed useful tools and good ways to teach someone how to knit.
Suzanne brought many beautiful garments for us to examine and awarded prizes to some lucky members. After the meeting, we happily shopped the trunk show featuring yarn and kits from Zen Yarn Garden at great prices.
