In Case You Missed It: Arne & Carlos Came to the Guild April 16
The April Guild meeting was packed with members enjoying the chance to see textile artists Arne & Carlos in person. They came all the way from Norway to present “The World of Arne & Carlos: Finding Inspiration for Design.” Their many fans in the Guild had fun taking photos and seeing these knitting stars up close.
Like their popular podcast, the meeting was lively and entertaining. Arne & Carlos told us the story of their design career and showed us beautiful photos of their home in a renovated train station, their garden, and their travels around the world.
Seeing so many of their colorful designs was inspiring. Arne & Carlos described how they are influenced by the folk costumes and culture of Norway.
As an extra treat, everyone who attended the meeting took home a copy of Rowan Norwegian Wool Book One, featuring five Arne & Carlos patterns for us to try.
