Norah Gaughan’s Visit to the November 1 Guild Meeting

Norah Gaughan presented a delightful program based on her latest book Knit Fold Pleat Repeat. Origami was her inspiration, as her designs are based on squares, rectangles, folding and pleating. She “walked” us through each pattern in her book – describing what she set out to accomplish and the problems she encountered along the way. We paid attention to the models, as the photos were taken during Covid and she had a small circle of close acquaintances to work with. Norah was completely engaging – I found myself marveling at her intelligence and creativity. She is a huge force in the knitting world, but among us she was completely down to earth. What a treat!
