Holiday in July Recap and Minutes
The meeting at The San Marcos Historical Society began at 12:30 pm, July 5, 2022
Opening remarks were made by Programs spokesperson, Nancy Lerer.
Today’s Guild meeting did not have a formal program speaker but had several goals. As our first in person get together in over two years, it was a long-awaited opportunity to commune with other knitters and friends in person. The meeting’s structure was centered around the provided holiday themed gift kits with patterns.
Another meeting goal was to expand on previous Zoom presentations. March’s presenter, Laneras Yarn brought a sampling of its wares for us to see, touch, and BUY. April’s machine knitting program was reinforced by a hands-on display of machines and samples.
Philanthropy chair, Debbie Vacek, collected donations and distributed yarn and patterns.
Our librarian, Donna Mulcahy, brought magazines and pamphlets in search of a new home and holiday gift themed books to borrow.
Mary Woo from Programs had sign-up sheets for the August Ana Campos virtual workshops.
Winter Tatum advised all about remaining available slots for the August retreat in Temecula from the 15th to the 18th.
Guild president, Tania Marshall, adjourned the meeting at 2:30 pm.
The next Guild meeting will be VIRTUAL on August 2, 2022.
