Philanthropy News

Individual Guild members who donate items without going through Philanthropy, please keep an estimated record of what you donated in 2022 and the organizations receiving the items. I will collect that information in the fall so all our donations can be included in our year end tally.
Thank you to the knitters who have already donated beautifully created blankets, hats, and scarves. In April, items were donated to the Volunteer Service at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in La Jolla and the Emilio Nares Foundation at Rady Children’s Hospital.

I will be at the Solana Beach Library lower parking lot on Wednesday (note this is a change of day) May 4th, from 11am to 12 noon; location details can be found here. I will be outside knitting in the shade if anyone wants to join me. Bring your own seating. You can drop off completed items and pick up free yarn and patterns. I am not accepting yarn donations, just completed items. Only attach a SDNCKG hang tag on each item. Hand tags are available for you to download and print on our website’s drop-down menu under Philanthropy, or click here.
If you cannot make it to the meet up at the Solana Beach Library parking lot and have items to donate, please contact me so I can arrange to pick them up. I can be reached at PhilanthropyATsandiegoknittersDOTcom or my direct information in the Guild directory.
