April 5 – Machine Knitter Karalyn Rainey visits the Guild Virtually.

February 21, 2022

About Karalyn Rainey.

Karalyn Rainey

Karalyn Rainey is passionate about machine knitting and has been affiliated with the Foothills Adult Education Center in El Cajon for over 40 years. She’s adapted her renown in person classes for Zoom, attracting machine knitters nationwide.

Karalyn’s love of the fiber arts began at age six when her grandmother taught her how to knit. She taught herself to crochet as a young teen and learned to sew in Homemaking class in the 7th grade. She’s been spinning for over twenty years. She was twenty-five, working at Super Yarn Mart when she bought her first knitting machine. The rest is history.
