Philanthropy News for March

March 2022 Philanthropy News

Debbie Vacek waiting for donations!

A heartfelt thank you to the knitters who donated beautifully created blankets, hats and scarves. In February items were donated to Volunteer Service, Veteran’s Administration Medical Center La Jolla, and Emilio Nares Foundation at Rady Children’s Hospital.

Debbie Vacek will meet at Solana Beach Library lower parking lot on Tuesday March 22, 11am to 12 noon, details available here. If it’s sunny, she will be outside in a shady spot knitting if anyone wants to join her. Bring knitting, water, sunglasses and seating. You can also drop off completed items and pick up free yarn and patterns. Please only add a guild hang tag, available on the Guild website’s drop-down menu under Philanthropy.

If you cannot make it to the meet up at the Solana Beach Library, please contact Debbie if you have items for donation. She will arrange to pick them up. She is also in search of suggestions of organizations in need and items to make for them. Debbie can be reached at philanthropyATsandiegoknittersDOTcom. Direct contact information can be found in the Guild directory.
