Minutes of the General Meeting

Meeting held on Zoom
President Tania Marshall called the meeting to order at 1:03 PM.
She summarized the vote held at our August Zoom meeting that 75% of members feel most comfortable continuing our monthly meetings on Zoom. Therefore, our 25th Anniversary Celebration Meeting will be held on Zoom on January 4th.
Program Co-Chair Nancy Lerer introduced our guest speaker Cecelia Campochiaro. Cecelia summarized her career in knit design, from Sequence Knitting, to Making Marls, to her next inspirations – possibly clothing design. With Cecelia’s intellect and creativity we all look forward to seeing what she comes up with next.
At 2:26 PM President Tania Marshall began the business meeting.
Holiday Luncheon: Vice President Sydnie Wauson announced that attendance for the the upcoming Holiday Luncheon on December 6th is strong. However, she is looking for more members to participate in the Fashion Show and to help the day of the event. She also encouraged members to patronize vendors who have made contributions for the Opportunity Drawing – vendors’ names are listed on the website.
Program News: Nancy Lerer announced that our next meeting will be on November 2nd with our guest speaker Susan Lazear. Susan will present her talk Change It Up! She will also be offering two workshops on Wednesday November 3. The special price for both workshops is $30.
Philanthropy: Debbie Vacek will be collecting donations outside the Solana Beach Library on Tuesday, October 19 from 11-12 noon.
The president adjourned the meeting at 2:37 PM.
