Philanthropy News for March

Philanthropy News for March

Philanthropy Donations Received in February

I appreciate the support of the seasoned philanthropic knitters from our Guild. There is always room for more donations of knitted items such as baby blankets, lap blankets, booties, hats, and scarves. The knitted items should be of yarn that is soft and washable. The distribution of knitted items will continue to the organizations currently supported by the Guild’s philanthropy knitters.

This month a load of knitted hats and baby blankets were sent to Military Showers of Support, and hats were sent San Diego Veterans for Jackets. I received 45 scarves and 73 hats from the Seacrest Knitters group and those items are in the process of being distributed.

The next drop-off event will be held Tuesday, March 16th, 11:00 until 12 noon, in the lower parking lot of the Solana Beach Public Library; details including a map can be found here. This event will be for free yarn and patterns distribution and pick up of completed items, so I hope to see you there. This will be socially distanced and wearing of masks is required. If you cannot drive to the Solana Beach location, please contact me so other arrangements can be made to collect your completed items.

My contact information is in the Guild directory and I can also be reached at PhilanthropyAtSanDiegoKnittersDotcom  Please send your ideas and suggestions. Thank you

Stay Healthy
