WE NEED VOLUNTEERS
Updated April 20, 2026
Is it your time to pitch in and help the Guild?
2026 Holiday Luncheon Co-Chairs
Good news! We have new co-Chairs and plans for our 2026 event are in the works. Your new co-Chairs welcome additional volunteers; stay tuned for more information.
Bring your organizational and people skills, take charge of an existing team of savvy volunteers, and help create another fabulous Holiday Luncheon for the Guild!

Sandy Levin’s hard work and generous spirit gave us a wonderful 2025 event but, sadly, she must step aside. She passes along a solid plan, excellent documentation, and the offer to consult (as available).
Rather than placing that large responsibility on one person’s shoulders, we are looking for multiple co-Chairs to lighten the individual load. Please let us know if you would be interested in assuming one of the following positions:
- Opportunity Drawing (solicitation of gifts, drawing logistics, etc.)
- Venue Coordination (contract oversight, room layout, day-of oversight, etc.)
- Fashion Show (sign-ups, day-of oversight, etc.)
- Program Oversight (overall program organization, printed program, etc.)
For detailed information on each positions’ responsibilities or any other questions, contact President Mary Barranger (President@SanDiegoKnitters.com).
The luncheon has always depended on a large team of volunteers who help with everything from organizing the Fashion Show to assembling the Opportunity Drawing baskets. Many of the 2025 team are willing and able to assist the 2026 co-Chairs.
The Holiday Luncheon is not only our premier social event but also an important Guild fundraiser — help us keep the tradition alive!
County Fair Coordinator
Renate Kamm has picked up the reins but help and participants are always welcome!

Many of us remember the years when our Guild took an active part in the San Diego County Fair, including demonstrations in the Home Arts area and a committee to select winners of our Guild awards from Fair entries. Sadly, without a coordinator for 2025 our involvement was limited to two members selecting award winners.
If you’d like to re-energize this fun connection, there are many members who can contribute information from past programs and would be willing to participate in organized demonstration events. For more information, contact Renate Kamm (Treasurer@SanDiegoKnitters.com) or Mary Barranger (President@SanDiegoKnitters.com).
