2024 Holiday Luncheon Recap

November 23, 2024

2024 HOLIDAY LUNCHEON — WE HAD A BLAST!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
A sell-out crowd

We had a sell-out crowd for this year’s event! Thank you to all who attended; we hope you enjoyed the Fashion Show, door prizes, special gifts, and more Opportunity Drawing items than ever before.

This event would not happen without the dozens of members and friends who eagerly pitched in throughout the past few months and day of the luncheon.

Our Sponsors and other Friends of the Guild provided a range of beautiful products, essential tools, and valuable gift certificates (including a heartwarming donation from Linda Hart in her mother’s memory). Talented members provided fabulous finished objects. And, of course, there were yarns of every hue – including a hank of yarn for every attendee, generously donated by Expression Fiber Arts.

The Luncheon Team thanks everyone who donated a gift. Please let our vendors know how much you appreciate their donations. The Opportunity Drawing is an important Guild fund-raiser, as we only break even on the luncheon itself. This year we raised $500 more than last year from Opportunity Drawing ticket sales!

We kicked off the giving with Door Prize and Volunteer Thank-You drawings. After time for socializing and lunch, Opportunity Drawings and Fashion Show groups alternated until we had given away all the gift baskets and admired each of the garments and other finished projects entered — with a few more Door Prizes and Volunteer Thank-You gifts awarded along the way.

Programs representatives Willa Cather and Karla Alvey were on hand to take workshop sign-ups and present an overview of the amazing 2025 speaker schedule. Be sure to renew your Guild membership to take advantage of these exciting programs!

Centerpieces

Finally, it was time to draw for the table centerpieces. Patti Fedler again donated materials and time to create unique project bags which were filled with yarn from generous vendors and Beth Carnett led a dedicated group of volunteers to knit beautiful flower centerpieces.

Thanks again for your attendance and support of our Guild. Stay tuned for exciting information about the 2025 Holiday Luncheon on Monday, Dec. 1, 2025!

Sincerely,
Sandy Levin, Holiday Luncheon Chair and the entire 2024 Luncheon Team
