Modular knitting isn’t just for squares; triangles offer exciting opportunities, too! Discover triangles! Start with a simple template and formula for equilateral triangles and discover ways to combine them to make creative fabrics. Learn how to combine different stitch patterns, work half triangles, and join them to form one larger piece. Lots of fun without a lot of counting! And even better, no gauge is required!
Level of Experience: Basic knitting skills including casting on.
Homework: None
Materials:
a. One to two balls of a long gradient yarn like Noro Kureyon, Cascade Casablanca, Wisdom Poem. Worsted or Aran weight yarn is suggested along with needle sizes appropriate to the yarn.
b. One ball of a solid color coordinating yarn that’s the same weight as the gradient yarn
needles in US sizes 6 and 7 (4 and 4.5mm)
c. Three removable markers1 ball of a solid color coordinating yarn that’s the same weight as the gradient yarn needles in US sizes 6 and 7 (4 and 4.5mm)
d. (Optional) Two balls of gradient yarn if you wish to complete a panel after class.
Materials fee: None
Cost: $30 for members ($65 for non-members which includes Guild membership through 2018).
