Melissa Leapman Vists the Guild Virtually!
Melissa will present her talk “Faux Bri-Aux!”
Do you love the look of brioche knitting but can’t keep your “brk” and “brp” stitches straight? Melissa will present a mini-workshop on how to work super-squishy—and fun!—stitch patterns that look like brioche without the fuss!
To get the most out of the presentation and in order to try out techniques at the meeting, Melissa suggests gathering a few supplies and doing a teensy bit of homework ahead of time.
Homework: With smooth, light-colored worsted weight yarn and size US 7 or 8 knitting needles, cast on 16 stitches. Knit one row. Slip stitches onto a holder with the yarn attached. Bring to the meeting along with sharply contrasting yarn and a circular needle the same size used for the homework.
